BBQ Beef Brisket

This is the bbq beef served at the Sparrow House BBQ and many other Robinson events!  The recipe originated from Ann McEuen – YUM!

1 5-6 lb. Beef Brisket.              1/3 C. Salt

1/3 C. Chili Powder.                  1 1/2 T. Black Pepper

1 T. Garlic Powder.                    1 Bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce

Heat oven to 250 degrees.  Place brisket in shallow roasting pan.

Mix dry ingredients together in a jar and sprinkle over both sides of the beef.  (Reserve remaining seasoning for the next time).  Drizzle brisket lightly with BBQ Sauce.  Cover tightly with aluminum foil.  Bake 5 hours.  Remove from oven; cover with remaining sauce; recover and return to oven for 30 min.   Remove from oven and let rest; slice; serve.   May also be cooked in the crock pot!
